Hartford Insurance New Application for commercial and private product lines

MY ROLE: Senior UX/UI Product Designer

I did extensive research and walk-throughs of the existing website. It was difficult to use, lacked clarity of steps for creating a quote and impossible to know when and if the quotes would be ready, or worse, if the run had been rejected for some reason.
My redesign started with evaluating a MVP, doing user research, and creating an OOUX diagram to discover overlapping content areas between the 2 divisions. With that information and iterating with product owners, a realistic user flow could be created. From there, idea concepts could be created, iterated, team approved, and followed up with prototypes and documentation for development. With continuous delivery, development was proceeding while I also provided documentation, additional and guidelines for branding and added new components to the library.

RESULTS: Easy to use new application with personal data dashboards, tools for run-time estimates, as well as many other requested new features.
